# Choose an available service

These guides describe behavior present in the reviewed source. Source code,
activation in an environment, and public access are separate facts. Confirm that
the service is enabled for your project before you submit work.

| Surface | What these guides establish |
| ----------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Resource operations | API operation states and SDK create-and-wait handling are implemented. A successful operation does not prove that a workload finished. |
| TypeScript and Python clients | Client implementations exist. Package version metadata does not prove registry publication. |
| Models and Responses | Typed SDK methods exist. The API routes are marked `contract-only`; hosted inference availability is not established. |
| Provider capacity | An offer describes observed supply. It does not reserve capacity or prove that a workload can run. |
| Sandboxes | Private Linux runtime tests cover controlled VM boot and disk snapshot operations. Public sandbox and snapshot access remain disabled. |
| Template Jobs | Private tests cover native execution, stop, deadline expiry, cleanup and measured CPU settlement. Public template Job creation remains disabled. |
| ImageFS and OCI | Private image delivery checks current access authority and immutable image identity. Lazy image execution remains disabled. |

Before you install a package, check the current Winterr release information and
registry publisher. The source package names are `@winterr/sdk` for TypeScript
and `winterr` for Python. These guides do not verify a public package release.
TypeScript requires Node.js 20 or later. Python requires Python 3.11 or later.
The Python SDK does not install the native CLI.

Pass credentials to the client explicitly. The clients do not read environment
variables for you. TypeScript accepts `apiKey`, `accessToken`, or `tokenProvider`;
Python accepts `api_key`, `access_token`, or `token_provider`. Use one credential
source. Keep credentials out of source files and logs.

The default API base URL is `https://api.winterr.ai/v1`. Use `baseUrl` in
TypeScript or `base_url` in Python to select your approved environment, including
the API version prefix. A default URL is not evidence that a feature is enabled.
Use a Python context manager, or close the client, to release its connection pool.

Read [operations](/operations) to follow a change, [inference](/inference) for
the typed response contract, and [providers](/providers) before you select
capacity. SDK namespaces for other products do not establish hosted support.

Private runtime tests do not establish production access, enforced network policy,
remote secret revocation, or safe snapshots after secret delivery. Deployment
and project admission checks remain required. Sandbox SDK methods do not confirm
that your project can create a sandbox.
